Leslie L H Moore

Leslie L H Moore RI 1907 – 1996.
Born in Norwich, and educated at the City of Norwich School. He studied at Reading University and the Norwich School of Art where he later taught general subjects in the junior Art Department, and later was instrumental in starting an art department at the Hewitt School Norwich.
He was a member of the Norwich Twenty Group and and was elected a member of the RI. From 1948 he exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy and The New English Art Club as well as other exhibitions in London. He also Illustrated a couple of books.
Moore was influenced by John Sell Cotman and the Norwich School.
Leslie Moore lived in North Walsham, Norfolk specialising in water-colours of the East Anglian landscape.
