Greenwood Gallery Norfolk
Based in Little Fransham Norfolk, we are a small independent gallery selling and buying paintings inspired by local artists and the Norfolk landscape.
The gallery has started as a result of collecting paintings over the years and then realising you have too many. The coastline along Norfolk and Suffolk has been painted many times over the years and by some very well known Artists. Looking at many of the works we have you can see how the coastline and surrounding areas have changed over the years.
From paintings by Geoffrey Chatten of the Great Yarmouth Pier which was demolished in January 2012 to the famous Frank Welch’s Punch and Judy shows on Gorleston beach. These are a way to look back at how things were and evoke happy memories, much of the surrounding countryside and city streets have also changed over the years and a painting is a great way to not forget how it once was.
We are also pleased to say that we are the only officially endorsed ( from Geoffrey Chatten ) seller and distributer of his limited edition prints. See picture.
We are also happy to buy and sell artwork from the rest of the UK and Europe. Many local artists travelled the globe and painted in some fantastic locations, again many of these places have changed from when they were painted.
Many of the painting listed on our site come from private collections, local art dealers as well as quality auction houses from across the UK. As we are an online gallery viewing is available via appointment only and we will always try our best to see you at a time convenient for you.
