The Fransham Gallery is based in the heart of Norfolk (find us). Viewing of any artwork is via appointment and we are available seven days a week. We will always try to accommodate any request for viewing at a time convenient for you. We are always looking to buy original fine art by renowned local artists or art inspired by Norfolk and surrounding area.

After The Sad News Of Geoffrey’s Passing On 02/04/2025 The Fransham Gallery Will Continue To Have Geoffrey As There Featured Artist For This Second Quarter Of 2025, We are pleased to have a good selection from a private collection, many of these painting were bought direct from Geoffrey and have never been available for sale until now.
The Fransham Gallery are also the only officially endorsed by Geoffrey Chatten seller and distributer of his four limited edition prints, Each picture is a run of 250 only and are signed and numbered by the artist.
Geoffrey Chatten was born in Norfolk in 1938, and started painting with oils in the 1960s. By the 1980s Geoffrey was working at a professional level. With no formal painting instruction, he developed a unique impressionistic technique within his studio, which is now packed with scores of sketchbooks. While he produces oil paintings of the UK, particularly the landscapes and seascapes of Norfolk and Suffolk, every piece starts with a preliminary series of sketches.
Geoffrey Chatten became a full member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1995 and is a member of the Royal British Artists Society.
Geoffrey passed away on 2nd April 2025.
